The Jazz with Attitude Band Jeff (sax), Wayne (keys), Dave (bass) and Shinya (drums), where doing there normal thing….swingin’ and groovin’!
The band started playing “Samba De Orfeu” with herb lewis (t.sax) sitting in. Jeff then took it upstairs with “what is this thing called love” (a hard question to answer!)
They then switched gears and had stephanie jeannot come up and sing whitney houston’s classic, “saving my love for you” and the jazz standard, “ain’t misbehaving” . Stephanie also sang “smooth operator” by sade.
Jeff then wanted to go somewhere else and called a bird tune “cool blues” with sir charles playing percussion.
gale archer came through and sang “bye bye blackbird”, “teach me tonight”, and a barry white tune that i can’t remember the title but it was a hit from the 70’s!!
renee benot sang an anita baker tune, and the other kate came up tony (trpt), ron (s.sax) along with herb and myself and played “mr p.c”
As hot as it was outside we were hotter!! we just had drinks and air conditoning to cool us down….. a little!!
When you comin’ through?
